Skin Needling
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenation procedure involving the use of a special device that makes very fine punctures in the skin. This triggers the production of collagen and elastin to fill up the microscopic punctures which results in improved texture and firmness of the skin. The procedure can reduce stretch marks, pore size, and scars.
Why is microneedling done?
Microneedling is usually indicated for reduction of acne scars, unplugging clogged pores, and smoothening out wrinkles in your skin.
How safe is the procedure?
Microneedling can be performed safely and repeatedly as the epidermis stays intact throughout the procedure.
Is the procedure painful?
Your doctor will apply a cream to numb your skin so that you do not feel any pain and are completely relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.
Which areas of the body can be treated?
Microneedling can be performed on the face, neck, chest, legs, buttocks and any area where increased skin thickness is needed or where there are stretch marks.
How often can you get it done?
Microneedling can be done every 4-6 weeks. The number of sessions depend on your skin condition. For mild to moderate skin conditions, 3-4 sessions should be sufficient. In case of severe skin conditions, 5 or more sessions may be required. Maintenance therapy is usually 1 session every 6-12 months.

- Minimal downtime (Don’t wear makeup for the rest of the day)
- Cost effective
- Can be performed on all skin types
Very safe (It is sometimes preferred over laser therapy as there is no risk of skin burning).
